Who we are
We are a team of product builders, educators, researchers and SEND specialists working to make screening clearer, faster and more useful for schools.
Talamo is used by over 1,000 UK schools and has screened over 20,000 pupils. Our dyslexia screener is signposted by the British Dyslexia Association, and we are now expanding the platform to support broader SEND identification and provision planning.
Why we do it
We believe every pupil with SEND should be identified earlier and supported more clearly.
Schools are under growing pressure to understand need, evidence support and plan provision across whole cohorts. Talamo exists to make that easier, giving teachers, SENCos and trust leaders the information they need to act sooner.
How we do it
Talamo combines digital screening tasks, standardised assessment design and clear reporting.
Our dyslexia screener helps schools identify risk indicators and patterns linked to dyslexia. From September, our wider platform will also support screening across maths ability, dyscalculia indicators and executive functioning.
The goal is simple: help schools test, understand and plan support with confidence.

Founder, CEO
Jamie’s own experience with dyslexia inspired Talamo’s creation. He leads the company’s vision and strategy, building a SEND screening platform that helps schools identify need earlier and support pupils more clearly.
Jamie’s goal is to make high-quality screening easier to access, easier to understand and more useful for the people supporting pupils every day.
Founder, Operations
Sophie helps Talamo operate smoothly as it scales across schools and trusts.
With experience across complex organisations and operational delivery, she builds the processes that allow Talamo to grow quickly while continuing to support schools properly.
Research
Alejandra supports Talamo’s research and data analysis, ensuring our assessments are grounded in evidence and real-world classroom practice.
Her work helps refine test items, validate findings and maintain the scientific rigour behind Talamo’s tools.
Development
Paul is with Talamo from a technical delivery perspective. He brings full-stack expertise and deep experience in edtech systems. He has been instrumental in building the screener’s digital infrastructure, from adaptive testing to secure backend design. His focus is on creating technology that is both scalable and genuinely impactful in education.
