We're a close-knit team collaborating across continents to bring you the most accurate, insightful and actionable SEN testing platform.
Founder, CEO
Jamie’s own experience with dyslexia inspired Talamo’s creation. He leads the company’s vision and strategy, building the UK’s most accurate dyslexia screener and securing adoption in 360+ schools. His goal: screen 1 million children by 2028 and open up SEN assessment for every learner. Jamie also hosts a podcast with British Dyslexia Association CEO - Ellen Broome.
Founder, Product
Leo brings product discipline from leading tech companies and is responsible for all aspects of Talamo’s platform. He leads the design, data, and development, ensuring the screener is both technically robust and simple to use in real classrooms. With a focus on long-term innovation and high standards, he drives the product roadmap and is central to scaling Talamo into a multi-condition assessment platform.
Founder, Operations
Sophie ensures Talamo runs seamlessly. With experience across Fortune 100 firms and complex transatlantic operations, she is skilled at building processes that support rapid growth without losing agility. She keeps the team aligned, resources optimised, and the organisation ready to deliver at pace.
Sales
Joanna drives Talamo’s growth in schools, combining her classroom background with commercial expertise. After a successful teaching career and a stint at Zen Educate, she understands both the challenges SENCos face and how to solve them. She leads our school outreach, building relationships that ensure more children get identified early.
Customer Success
Charlotte is the first point of contact for most parents and schools, making sure every customer feels supported and confident. She leads onboarding, training, and ongoing support, translating complex assessment data into clear next steps. Her role is central to ensuring schools stay engaged and parents trust the process.
Development
Hannah leads on the technical delivery of Talamo’s platform, bringing full-stack expertise and deep experience in edtech systems. She has been instrumental in building the screener’s digital infrastructure, from adaptive testing to secure backend design. Her focus is on creating technology that is both scalable and genuinely impactful in education.
Research
Alejandra supports Talamo’s research and data analysis, ensuring our assessments are grounded in evidence and real-world classroom practice. While completing her Master’s at the University of Bath, she has worked across study design, data collection, and statistical analysis. Her work helps refine test items, validate findings, and maintain the scientific rigour behind Talamo’s tools.
Assessment
Sally-Ann is one of the UK’s leading dyslexia assessors and a trainer of assessors, with decades of frontline experience. She ensures Talamo’s assessments are accurate, psychometrically sound, and aligned with industry best practice. Her oversight guarantees that our tools meet the highest professional standards and give schools confidence in every result.
