Above: Behind the scenes filming with Frankie Bridge.
Frankie Bridge, the singer and presenter best known from The Saturdays, first worked with us in September 2025, when she spent a day filming with a group of pupils. This November she joins us again, this time on stage at We Love SENCos II in Birmingham.
A day of filming at William Ford
In late September 2025 we spent two days filming a short campaign film about spotting dyslexia early. On the second day, Frankie joined us at William Ford C of E Junior School in Dagenham, east London.
It was a full day. Frankie joined a school assembly, dropped in on the school’s radio station, interviewed pupils and played games with them. Pupils also tried Talamo’s screener while the cameras were rolling.
The finished film, Talamo Dyslexia Day Campaign, features Frankie and Sam Thompson, who filmed with us on the first day. You can watch it here.
Thank you to the pupils and staff at William Ford for welcoming us so warmly, and for making a busy filming day feel easy.
Why we made the film
Most of what we do is quiet, practical work with schools: helping teachers and SENCos spot need earlier, and understand what support a pupil might need next. That work matters, but it doesn’t always reach the families and teachers who could benefit from it.
People with a public profile can help start conversations about learning differences that might not otherwise happen. A short film reaches people who would never read a research paper or a technical manual, and it can make screening feel ordinary rather than daunting.
If the film leaves you wondering what a screening report actually shows, you can look through our sample reports for fictional pupils.
